It was an absolute massacre.
No one expected the short ant girls to be a threat when they dug up from underground to invade the village. However, as they soon discovered, the ant girls' inhuman strength meant that their short bodies were not as much of an issue as it would seem. It was a snatch-and-go operation, meaning that they snatched people and immediately popped back into their tunnels to prevent an effective counter-attack (especially since this was a rural village).
The villagers that were taken were carried to the queen to satisfy her hunger first. After the queen takes her fill, she will choose who gets to stay with her as a meal for later (or who among them will be lucky enough to serve as a mate for more daughters) and which of the humans will be eaten by the other ants in her colony.
