Glacis and Crystal had just lain down in their cave to estivate (the ice giantess's version of hibernation only in the summer). They had just cleared out a village's worth of food and people, preparing for the three-month snooze.
As the giantesses slept, they heard a startled cry coming from the mouth of the cave, causing an echo, and prompting Crystal to wake up. She yawned as she looked around, annoyed to discover a little human. The tiny stranger tried to cover their mouth to stifle their surprised yelp, but it was too late.
The only question on the giantess's mind was what she was going to do next.
