While on a mission to obtain a dangerous magic staff known as the Dragon Cry that was stolen from the Fiore Kingdom, by the former and traitorous Minister of the State named Zash who took the Dragon Cry to the island nation of Stella.
Lucy, Erza and the rest of their team were sent to retrieve it, but before they could do that they needed the ring that functioned as the key to unlock the vault Zash put it in. So they decided to wait for him at a bar he frequented where Lucy was meant to serve as a distraction by posing as a dancer and Erza was to pose as a waitress and steal the ring. While they were supposed to keep tempers and appetites in check, that went out the window when two patrons ignored the warning sign in the bar, One man smacked Lucy on the ass while she danced on stage, while another man tried grabbing Erza by the chest. This resulted in both of them being promptly swallowed whole in front of the whole crowd of drunken men.
Lucy and Erza continued on with their rolls and kept waiting for Zash to arrive, even as their meals struggle in vain.
