Along with slacking new hires and unfortunate staff, Ms. Baker also had a way of always keeping everything up to ''code'' with her diner. Usually bribes and swindling kept everything running smoothly.
This time, however, the state sent a health inspector fresh out of college to her little town. This girl was going to make a name for herself and work her way up to the top. The abrupt ending to her career (and life) came when she did not follow the set itinerary of places to visit and went on her own ''witch hunt'' for violators.
After a few write ups, she convened back to her office... where Ms. Baker locked her inside. It was the last time anyone would see the young lady.
